The following application is intended for professional portrait photographers of the 50 United States and D.C. only (including territories, possessions, and commonwealths) and will be construed and evaluated according to United States laws. Do not proceed in this site if you are not a legal resident of the U.S. or D.C., 21 years or older as of the application submission date, and accessing this site in the United States, its territories, possessions, or commonwealths.

How to Apply: Beginning at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on October , 18 2023 until 12;00 a.m. ET on February, 11 2024(the “Application Period”), you may submit an application for the Fall 2023 Black Label Workshop (the “Workshop”) online by visiting the Sigmon Taylor EDU website (APPLICATION URL) and completing and submitting the online application form (an “Application”). All Applications must be received by the end time and date of the Application Period to be eligible for consideration. Incorrect and incomplete Applications are void.

Limit of one (1) Application, per eligible person. If multiple Applications are received per eligible person, only the first Entry will be accepted and additional Applications will be disqualified. Multiple participants are not permitted to share the same email address.

Eligibility: This Application is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C., including territories, possessions, and commonwealths, who are 21 years of age or older as of the Promotion start date. This application is intended for professional portrait photographers who currently own an established portrait business.

Privacy: In connection with the Application process, Sigmon Taylor EDU will be collecting personal data about applicants on the online Application in accordance with its privacy policy. By participating in the Application, you hereby agree to Sigmon Taylor EDU’s collection and usage of your personal information and acknowledge that you have read and accepted Sigmon Taylor EDU’s privacy policy.

Publicity Grant: Except where prohibited, submission of an Application constitutes your consent to Sigmon Taylor EDU’s use of your name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, entry, and/or state of residence for promotional and advertising purposes in any and all media, now or hereafter devised, worldwide in perpetuity, without further payment or consideration, notification or permission. In addition, entrants featured in any of Sigmon Taylor EDU’s promotional material will be required to sign any agreements and releases designed by Sigmon Taylor EDU with respect to their services and performances. The rights include on-location or studio-based camera appearances, footage created throughout the workshop, and any photographs, videos, or other materials provided by Applicants to Sigmon Taylor EDU.

Limitations of Liability: Sigmon Taylor EDU is not responsible for: any incorrect or inaccurate Application information; human error; technical malfunctions; failures, omissions, interruption, deletion, or defect of any telephone network, computer online systems, computer equipment, server providers, or software, including any injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Application; inability to access the Website; transactions that are processed late or incorrectly or are incomplete or lost due to computer or electronic malfunction or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site; printing or human or other errors; and any Applications which are late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, or any combination thereof. Online submission is not considered proof of delivery or receipt. Upon submission, all Applications become the property of Sigmon Taylor EDU and will not be returned. Sigmon Taylor EDU reserves the right to conduct a background check on any prospective Workshop Participant and reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any person based on such background check if Sigmon Taylor EDU determines in its sole discretion that a prospective Workshop Attendee might reflect negatively on Sigmon Taylor EDU. Failure by prospective Workshop Attendees to agree to a background check may also result in disqualification. By submitting an application, you agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Sigmon Taylor EDU from and against all claims and damages or liability arising in connection with your participation in the Workshop and/or submission of the Application and/or your receipt or use of any content created during this Workshop or due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, attendance, or participation in any Workshop-related activity or participation in this Workshop. Any and all warranties and guarantees are subject to the respective manufacturer’s terms. No more than the advertised number of Workshop Attendee positions will be awarded. You further understand and agree that all rights under Section 1542 of the Civil Code of California (“Section 1542”) and any similar law of any state or territory of the United States that may be applicable with respect to the foregoing release are hereby expressly and forever waived. You acknowledge that Section 1542 provides that: “A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS THAT THE CREDITOR OR RELEASING PARTY DOES NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN HIS OR HER FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE AND THAT, IF KNOWN BY HIM OR HER MUST HAVE MATERIALLY AFFECTED HIS OR HER SETTLEMENT WITH THE DEBTOR OR RELEASED PARTY.” The releases hereunder are intended to apply to all claims not known or suspected to exist with the intent of waiving the effect of laws requiring the intent to release future unknown claims.

How Attendees will be Determined: Eight (8) prospective Workshop Attendees (the “Workshop Attendees”) will be selected through a thorough application review from among all eligible Applications received during the Application Period on a first-submitted first-considered basis, and will be contacted by email should they be selected to advance to an interview. Prospective Workshop Attendees will be interviewed before receiving their final determination of acceptance to the Workshop. Sigmon Taylor EDU’s decisions with respect to the prospective Workshop Attendees, these Terms and Conditions, and all other matters pertaining to the Application shall be final and binding.

The prospective Workshop Attendees will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement and release of liability and publicity (where permitted), and return same, properly executed, within twenty-four (24) hours of issuance of their final determination of acceptance to the Workshop. If Sigmon Taylor EDU is unable to contact the prospective Workshop Attendee within five (5) days from first notification attempt, if the prospective Workshop Attendee fails to complete and return all requested forms by the specified date, if the prospective Workshop Attendee does not pass Sigmon Taylor EDU’s background check (in its sole discretion), or if the prospective Workshop Attendee fails to comply with any of the requirements, his/her place in the Workshop will be forfeited and an alternate prospective Workshop Attendee shall be selected.

Conditions of Entry: Applications materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. If in the Sigmon Taylor EDU’s opinion there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Application, or if computer viruses, bugs, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or technical difficulties or failures compromise or corrupt or affect the administration, integrity, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Application, Sigmon Taylor EDU reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the application process and void any Applications submitted fraudulently, to modify, suspend, or terminate the Application. Should the Application be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, notice will be posted on the Website. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY YOU TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITES OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE APPLICATION MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SIGMON TAYLOR EDU RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) FROM YOU TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
